KS1 Supply Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic KS1 Supply Teacher to join a dynamic school community in the DN7 area. This long-term position is perfect for someone with experience in lower KS1, ideally with familiarity in early years’ curriculum and assessments. As a full class teacher, you will have planning responsibilities and will play a pivotal role in nurturing a love of learning in young students.
Day-to-day of the role: - Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the needs of young learners.
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans aligned with the national curriculum objectives for KS1.
- Assess and record students’ progress, providing grades and constructive feedback.
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the school’s procedures and behavioural policies.
- Create an engaging, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent meetings, and whole school training events.
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to support student learning.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Proven experience in KS1 teaching, with a strong understanding of the early years’ curriculum.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong commitment to professional development and willingness to learn.
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to educating young children.
