Role Overview
Our client are seeking two Senior Planners to join there Transportation Division, contributing to large-scale rail and highway projects. This is an opportunity to play a critical role in the delivery of multimillion-pound infrastructure projects by providing comprehensive project controls and planning expertise. Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, you'll be part of a highly skilled team driving the successful execution of these projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget through meticulous planning and controls.
- Oversee the preparation of resource histograms and implement Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Attend client progress meetings and provide expert planning advice to senior management.
- Identify deviations, delays, and risks, delivering insightful reports for stakeholders.
- Supervise junior planners, offering guidance, feedback, and management.
- Drive adherence to Project Controls Policy and communicate progress concisely.
Requirements - Extensive experience in transportation technologies (e.g., signaling, track, electrification, and structures).
- Proficiency in multi-disciplinary engineering design programming.
- Expert user of Primavera P6.
- Familiarity with NEC contracts, schedule risk analysis, claims, and enterprise systems.
- Demonstrated experience in projects up to £50m.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral.
- Membership in APM (preferred).
- Qualification in Mechanical/Civil Engineering (preferred).
