About the role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Wine Admin Assistant to join our team. This role will focus on managing order placements (DPD and Ex-cellar), monitoring stock levels, and supporting the buying team with various administrative tasks. Ideal candidates will have some wine knowledge and a genuine interest in expanding their experience within the buying sector. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for someone with a background in sales or a related field to transition into a buying role.

Role Responsibility

  • Order Placement: Manage and place orders with suppliers (DPD and Ex-cellar).
  • Stock Monitoring: Regularly review stock levels, ensuring optimal inventory and communicating with the buying team regarding stock needs.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with documentation, data entry, and general organization of buying-related tasks.
  • Communication: Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers, ensuring smooth and accurate communication around orders and deliveries.
  • Reporting: Generate and maintain order and stock reports, providing insights to the buying team as required.

You will need

  • Wine Knowledge: Basic understanding of wine (e.g., varietals, regions, and styles).
  • Experience: Open to junior-level candidates or those from sales roles looking to transition to buying.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency with standard software (Excel, Word) and quick to learn new systems.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Eagerness to Learn: A proactive attitude toward expanding knowledge in wine and the buying process.
