About you:

As a Principal Consultant, you will be in a strategic technology leadership role for the M365/O365 specialist that combines deep technical expertise with executive-level advisory capabilities. You will typically drive all types of modern workplace initiatives by leveraging Microsoft's cloud ecosystem in technical architecture and leading a team of technical consultants in designing and implementing comprehensive workplace technology strategies. You will translate complex technological capabilities into business value, managing large-scale digital transformation projects, providing high-level architectural guidance, and maintaining a hands-on technical skill set to complement your strategic management responsibilities. Their role bridges technical implementation, organizational change management, and strategic technology consulting, focusing on optimizing workforce productivity through advanced cloud-based collaboration platforms and innovative workplace technologies.

Responsibilities: 

Leadership & Team Management (60%)

  • Lead and develop a team of technical consultants specializing in Modern Workplace technologies
  • Design and implement team development strategies
  • Conduct performance evaluations and career development planning
  • Create and maintain team performance metrics and professional growth frameworks
  • Mentor junior consultants and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation

Strategic Technical Consulting (40%)

  • Provide strategic architectural guidance for complex M365/O365 Modern workplace projects initiates
  • Conduct comprehensive technology assessments and develop technical project roadmaps
  • Deliver hands-on technical consulting support for critical and complex engagements
  • Perform technical deep-dive analysis and provide expert recommendations

Business Development & Resource Management

  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities in Modern Workplace technologies
  • Review and validate statements of work for technical accuracy and strategic alignment
  • Assess and recommend resource requirements for project implementations
  • Develop strategic talent acquisition plans aligned with organizational growth

Technical Oversight

  • Stay current with emerging Microsoft technologies and industry trends
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, innovative solutions
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft licensing and service models
  • Provide technical risk assessment and mitigation strategies
  • Drive continuous improvement in service delivery methodologies

Delivery services:

  • Support with RFPs by defining support and service requirements, and resource profiles, and providing technical solutions and governance for new opportunities.
  • Create detailed documentation, technical diagrams, and executive summaries to clearly communicate our services and value propositions to customers.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced technical expertise in O365/M365 architecture with progressive consulting experience
  • Proven track record of senior-level technical consulting in Modern Workplace with O365/M365 technologies
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft technology stack, including Microsoft 365 ecosystem, SharePoint, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Teams, Windows Upgrades, Microsoft Copilot
  • Strong line management experience with demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performance technical teams
  • Extensive background in Managed Service Provider (MSP), IT services, or large-scale IT consulting environments
  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale technology implementation teams
  • Preferred: Certifications in Microsoft technologies (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Workplace Administrator)
