Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the design and analysis of structural engineering projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, contractors, and project managers.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
  • Conduct site inspections and surveys, providing expert advice on site conditions and structural integrity.
  • Prepare and review engineering calculations, reports, and drawings.
  • Assist in managing project timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Ensure the highest standards of health and safety in all projects.
 
Requirements:
  • Chartered status with a relevant professional body (e.g., ICE, IStructE) or nearing chartership
  • Proven experience in structural engineering, ideally in both design and site-based roles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal abilities
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience designing reinforced concrete, steelwork, masonry and timber
  • Experience of site supervision
