The Role:
As a Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in providing both strategic and tactical oversight across key contracts and bidding activities. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on high-profile projects while working alongside talented teams within a forward-thinking and dynamic business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading commercial management across a range of contracts and bids within the engineering sector
- Collaborating with project teams to ensure the successful delivery and management of contracts
- Supporting senior leadership in driving commercial governance, process adherence, and strategic implementation across the business
- Taking charge of commercial leadership, monitoring project performance, managing risk, and ensuring alignment with contractual obligations
- Working with various teams in the business to draft and review terms and conditions for customer negotiations
- Partnering with the Supply Chain team to ensure terms and conditions are accurately communicated throughout the supply chain
- Supporting Commercial leadership in developing and executing the company’s commercial strategy
- Preparing compelling proposals for customers, coordinating pricing activities, and securing internal approvals for submission
- Promoting and adhering to best commercial practices and processes across the business
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and key stakeholders
What You’ll Bring:
To succeed in this role, you’ll have:
- Strong understanding of contractual terms and conditions
- Experience with various commercial/contracting models
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proven ability to lead commercial aspects of a business, including the bidding process
- Expertise in identifying commercial gaps and developing solutions to bridge them
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- A passion for promoting a culture of best commercial practice
