Client Accountant
Location: Surrey (Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum

They are now looking for a skilled Client Accountant to join the growing team, contributing to their exceptional service for property owners and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
As a Client Accountant, you will be integral to managing the financial operations of property portfolios. Your role will include:
- Bank Reconciliations: Conducting regular and precise reconciliation of all client bank accounts, ensuring accurate financial records.
- Service Charge Budgeting: Collaborating with property managers to prepare and review service charge budgets, ensuring alignment with lease requirements and operational needs.
- Financial Reporting: Producing monthly and quarterly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and expenditure summaries.
- Lease Management: Setting up and maintaining financial records for new leases, ensuring compliance with all lease terms.
- Daily Banking: Managing daily banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers, ensuring efficient cash flow management.
- Year-End Reconciliation: Preparing year-end service charge accounts and supporting the audit process.
- Credit Control: Performing minimal credit control tasks, including monitoring arrears, issuing reminders, and liaising with tenants and property managers to resolve disputes.
- Client Liaison: Acting as a trusted point of contact for clients, addressing queries, and providing clear and timely updates on financial matters.
Requirements
- Proven experience in client accounting, within commercial property management. (3-5 years)
- Proficiency in YARDI accounting software.
- Strong understanding of service charge management and lease structures.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team collaboration.
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
- Relevant qualifications in accounting (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) are advantageous but not essential.
