Full-Stack Developer (Frontend Focus), Southampton / Southsea (Hybrid)

Our client has a cutting edge ecommerce platform which is in high demand for major global brands across the US, Europe and UK. Avanti Recruitment are partnering with this organisation to hire a Full Stack Mid level Developer with a Frontend focus using React.js. Their back-end stack is Ruby / Ruby-on-rails so experience is highly advantageous.

As a Mid Developer with a focus on frontend development, you will play a pivotal role in creating, enhancing, and maintaining web-based and mobile applications. You'll work closely with backend developers and the UI/UX team to deliver best in class UIs.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain both frontend and backend components of complex web applications.
- Create responsive and user-friendly interfaces using React.js.
- Collaborate with backend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic (RoR).
- Optimise applications for performance, scalability, and security.

Key Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Full-Stack Developer, with a strong emphasis on frontend development.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js and RoR.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines and containerization (e.g., Docker).
- Knowledge of UI/UX principles and experience collaborating with design teams.
- Ability to update or remove legacy software.
