About the business:

My client is an extremely successful vehicle safety solutions installer as well as a Van Conversation specialist with locations across the UK. They are currently looking to expand their inhouse stores team due to being so busy and are looking for a Parts Advisor who has experience in a similar role (not necessarily within the automotive industry)

The Parts Advisor Role

We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Parts Advisor to join the team and help maintain my clients reputation for excellence.

Job Description

As a Parts Advisor, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, managing inventory efficiently, and collaborating closely with my clients service department to ensure seamless operations.

Parts Advisor Key Responsibilities

• Supplier Relationships: Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to negotiate favourable terms and ensure the availability of high-quality parts.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage stock levels, order new stock, and track inventory to ensure optimal levels are maintained.
• Parts Identification: Use catalogues and software to accurately identify the correct parts for various vehicles.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the service department to ensure timely and accurate delivery of parts for repair jobs, facilitating effective communication between departments.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of parts transactions, inventory updates, and supplier communications.

Parts Advisor Requirements

• Experience: Previous experience as a Parts Advisor or in a similar role
• Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organization: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers to secure the best terms and prices.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy parts and perform physical tasks as needed.
