An independent firm based in Manchester are seeking to recruit an experienced Accounts and Audit Semi-Senior to join their team. This opportunity has arisen due to continued growth for the firm. This is a reputable firm, established in the market for over 40 years, with clients in varied industries and provide a range of services including accounting, bookkeeping, audit, taxation, corporate finance and business consultancy. They have a great culture with a supportive environment in which they want their trainees to succeed. This is a great opportunity for a candidate seeking a general practice role as you will gain a wide exposure to accountancy.

Your new role
As Accounts and Audit Semi-Senior, you will be responsible for accounts preparation for a range of clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. You will have other duties including bookkeeping and VAT returns. You will support on audits on fieldwork and potentially get involved with areas such as planning and completion. You will be a point of contact for clients and will deal with client queries, delivering an excellent client service.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience in an accounts or audit capacity within a practice and will have experience with accounting software. You will need experience of bookkeeping and preparation of VAT returns as well as ideally have experience in an audit capacity. You will ideally be ACCA/ACA/AAT qualified or part qualified or qualified by experience (QBE).
