Role Overview:
The Fire Safety Surveyor will play a critical role in assessing and improving the safety and compliance of buildings. From conducting fire door inspections to evaluating fire compartmentation, this role offers the chance to make a real impact on the safety of various properties, including residential apartments, social housing, student accommodations, and healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough fire door inspections, compartmentation surveys, and other fire safety assessments.
- Engage professionally with residents and clients during on-site visits to ensure understanding and satisfaction.
- Identify fire safety risks, assess existing measures, and provide clear recommendations for improvements.
- Prepare comprehensive and concise reports detailing findings and actionable recommendations.
- Stay current with fire safety regulations and industry best practices to enhance service quality.
The Ideal Candidate: - Holds relevant qualifications in fire safety, building surveying, or a related field.
- Has proven experience in fire safety surveying, including fire door and compartmentation assessments.
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills and is comfortable working independently.
- Is field-ready to cover Central and Greater London, with occasional travel further afield.
- Possesses a full driver’s license (up to 6 penalty points) and is open to overnight stays when required.
- Is willing to undergo a DBS Enhanced Check (arranged by the company).
- A CSCS Card would be advantageous but not essential.
