Role Overview: As a dedicated Teaching Assistant, you will be entrusted with the invaluable responsibility of providing tailored support and guidance to a child in Key Stage 1, fostering their academic and personal development. You will work closely with the child, assisting with their learning needs, and implementing strategies to enhance their educational progress.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to the assigned child, assisting with their learning activities and ensuring comprehension.
Collaborate with the class teacher to develop and implement personalised learning plans that cater to the child's individual needs and abilities.
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging the child's engagement and participation in classroom activities.
Utilise a range of teaching and behaviour management techniques to facilitate the child's learning and promote positive behaviour.
Monitor the child's progress, assess their achievements, and provide constructive feedback to facilitate continuous improvement.
Maintain accurate records of the child's progress and development, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with school policies.
Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a primary school setting.
Sound knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and familiarity with educational strategies to support children's learning.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a positive difference in children's lives.
Relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or related fields would be advantageous.
