Production Supervisor Nights

Our client is a well established manufacturer looking to appoint a Production Supervisor for their fast paced volume production site in Huddersfield. You need to be good at managing people and an excellent communicator, know how manufacturing lines work to ensure they are run at optimal efficiency, have worked for a manufacturing business supplying in to large industrial customers, be conversant with basic lean and continuous improvement principles, and be happy working a Monday to Friday night shift.

The successful Production Supervisor will have previous experience of shift work and co-leading a team of operatives in production to meet daily KPI's in a manufacturing environment. Supplying in to large UK industrial manufacturers there are short lead times from a demanding customer base. This is a Monday to Friday nights role. Although the majority of staff are permanent at peak times your team may be strengthened with the addition of contract / agency staff. It would be beneficial for the Production Supervisor to have had had previous experience of managing temporary staff with the issues this can bring up.

The Production Supervisor ultimately chosen for this role can come from a wide range of industry backgrounds. Applications are particularly encouraged by candidates from any volume manufacturing background with a skilled or semi-skilled workforce: food, plastic, glass, electronics etc.
