Colleague Service Business Partner - The Role:
Responsible for all aspects of Colleague Services support functions across a group of Schools. Supporting the department in the provision of an effective and colleague-focused function across the Trust, ensuring compliance with Trust policies and procedures and relevant legislation.
Partnering School Leaders to ensure that Colleague Services processes and people management meet their needs and that of the pupils.
Working closely with Finance and Operational Business Partners to ensure that staffing meets budgetary requirements.
Colleague Service Business Partner - Responsibilities:
- The provision of operational advice and being the first point of contact for HR and day to day people management
- Provide expert guidance, coaching, constructive challenge, and objective feedback as required to meet needs of the Trust and individual schools
- Advising schools on recruitment and selection strategies and co-ordinate the recruitment and selection processes for schools
- Ensure that all relevant corporate Colleague policies and procedures are followed: e.g. sickness absence, pay adjustments, pay policies and Leave of Absence
- Manage the Colleague Service MIS, to include input and oversight of all colleague records.
- Proactive management of all colleague relations in schools and ensuring that line managers are supported in ensuring policies are followed
- Deliver training to line managers and other staff as required on any people management issues and policy application
- Working with Trust Administration, oversee the HR administration processes of starters and leavers and contractual changes, including the preparation of contractual documentation and payroll documentation as required
Colleague Service Business Partner - You:
- Minimum of 5 O Levels/GCSEs (To include English and Mathematics at Grade C or 4 or above)
- CIPD level 5 or commitment to undertake
- Experience of dealing with complex employee relations cases
- Experience in coaching senior leaders through complex casework
- Knowledge of best practise in specific HR areas, recruitment, absences, capability, disciplinary etc
- Knowledge of casework management processes and proactive management
- To be able to effectively use IT, particularly MS Word and Excel
- Good time management skills and prioritisation
- Recognises the importance of maintaining accurate financial records and following process
- Well developed interpersonal skills for working with a range of stakeholders
- Empathy with the mission and vision of the Church of England and the Diocese of Lincoln.
