About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Drama Teacher to join one of our vibrant secondary schools in Leeds. This part-time, temporary role will run from January 2025 to July 2025. The primary focus will be teaching Drama at KS3, with some additional responsibilities for teaching English. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to an environment that fosters creativity, confidence, and collaboration.

Start Date: January 2025
End Date: July 2025
Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates considered)
Contract: Temporary, Full-Time
Essential Requirements: - QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching Drama at KS3.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- A genuine passion for Drama and the ability to inspire creativity in students.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
Skills: - Strong communication skills to engage and inspire students.
- Ability to contribute innovative ideas to a team and department.
- Proficiency in acting and directing, with the ability to lead and guide students in performances.
- Building a positive rapport with students and colleagues.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Creative thinking and a proactive approach to teaching.
- Experience mentoring and supporting students in their academic and creative development.
- A thorough knowledge of the Drama curriculum and how to effectively deliver it.
Key Responsibilities: - Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, differentiated Drama lessons that captivate and inspire students.
- Teach some English lessons, as required, with creativity and enthusiasm.
- Foster student confidence and self-expression through performance and creative exploration.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and track improvements.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities, such as school productions, drama clubs, or workshops.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Formative and summative assessment
