Social Worker - Court Team

Location: London
Salary: £51,574 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full-time (36 hours per week)

We are looking for a dedicated Social Worker to join the Court Team within Haringey Council's Children's Services. As part of the team, you will play a vital role in care proceedings and planning for children unable to return to their family. You will be the expert witness for the local authority in court, providing high-quality assessments and evidence. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic borough with diverse children and families.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage care proceedings for children and young people.
  • Provide expert evidence in court on behalf of the local authority.
  • Prepare comprehensive assessments and reports.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to secure the best outcomes for children.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' post-qualifying experience, ideally in a similar setting.
  • SWE registration is required.
  • Strong report writing and assessment skills.
  • Confident in providing evidence for court proceedings.
  • Commitment to the "Signs of Safety" model.
