Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
  • Prepare and submit Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIRs) for new and modified parts, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to verify that new products and tools are production-ready.
  • Provide ongoing support to the Mould Shop by updating manufacturing processes, tooling, and production instructions.
  • Analyse non-conformance data to target process improvements that reduce defect rates and labour costs.
  • Take ownership of root cause analysis and drive solutions for customer concerns.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on defect reduction, quality enhancement, and lead time optimisation.

What You’ll Need:

  • HNC/HND or higher qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven experience in a Process Engineer role within a manufacturing environment, ideally with exposure to moulding processes.
  • Strong knowledge of process improvement, quality assurance, and manufacturing flow.
  • Proficient in using measuring equipment and familiar with CAD software (CREO experience is advantageous).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and experience leading design reviews.
  • Familiarity with NPI processes and related documentation (Manufacturing Instructions, Process Flow, etc.).

Desirable Skills:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience working with injection/compression moulding equipment.
  • Knowledge of connectors and similar products.
