My client is a boutique back office transformation management consultancy who are seeking to recruit an experienced agency SAP recruiter to become their 'Business Development Manager' for their Finance Transformation practice.

This organisation specialise in Finance Transformation strategy and advisory services and is looking to take advantage of a major trend in the finance transformation market currently. SAP ECC is being discontinued and as a result there are thousands of it's customers who are now seeking to migrate to the cloud-based SAP S/4 Hana platform. These organisations will need assistance on this journey, which is where my client can provide their stellar expertise, but they need this Business Development Manager to 'open doors' for them.

As the Business Development Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Selling their consulting services through cold-calling and cold new-business approaches. You will not be selling the tech or product, this role is selling consulting services.
  • Scouting potential clients who could benefit from SAP S/4 Hana transformation services.
  • Identifying prospects and then booking the appointments and meetings independently.
  • Nurturing relationships and following up on leads through the sales cycle.
  • 'Opening doors' and setting up meetings for my client's consulting leaders to attend. You will not be required to close the deals. You will make commission and OTE on deals which have been pulled through your activity.

The successful Business Development Manager will have the following experience:

  • 3-5 years of SAP agency recruitment experience which has allowed you to gain knowledge of their products, features and business functions which use them.
  • 2 years of new business development experience of specifically cold-calling and successfully selling to senior finance stakeholders such as Finance Directors and Chief Financial Officers (CFOs).
  • Energy and enthusiasm to make this independent role your own. You will be the only sales professional so it's imperative you are a self-starter.
