Contracts Manager

Plumbing & Heating Contracts Manager required for our client, a well-established mechanical and electrical contractor, established in 2001. They are now looking for a Contracts Manager to join their Essex department, covering works across Kent, London and Essex.

You will be involved in 4-5 domestic projects, such as new builds, ranging from £500K up to £1.5M per job.

Contracts Manager Salary & Benefits

• £50,000 - £60,000 DOE
• Company Vehicle & Mileage claimed back (personal use)
• 25 days + 8BH
• Monday - Friday (45 hours - 8am-5pm)

Contracts Manager Job Overview

You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the projects from inception to completion, including but not limited to:

• Resourcing local labour
• Manage the installation work carried out by the company
• Managing engineers and sub-contractors on site
• Liaising with client site manager and contracts managers
• Keeping to budget
• Value engineering
• Staying on top of variations and delivering the projects on time to a high standard.
• Produce monthly reports on projects.
• Manage all aspects of Plumbing, Heating & Gas, Soil Stacks and plant rooms;

Contracts Manager Job Requirements

• 2 years minimum experience as a Plumbing and Heating Contracts Manager
• Gas Safe Registered
• Minimum of 5 years hands on experience as a Plumbing & Heating Engineer
• Experience managing multiple projects at the same time
• Able to manage plumbing, heating and gas engineers
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and industry best practices
• Ability to manage budgets and control costs
• Full UK driving license.
