Senior Building Manager

We are looking for a Senior Building Manager to join this leading property management company specialising in residential developments across London. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Building Manager to oversee an impressive residential building in North West London. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to play a key role in delivering exceptional service to residents while ensuring the smooth operation of the building.
Key Responsibilities
As the Senior Building Manager, your primary duties will include:
- Building Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations of the residential building, including maintenance, repairs, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Team Leadership: Supervise on-site staff, including concierge, cleaners, and contractors, ensuring high standards of service are maintained.
- Resident Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for residents, addressing concerns and providing exceptional customer service.
- Contract Management: Oversee contracts with service providers, ensuring quality standards and cost-effectiveness.
- Budget Management: Prepare and manage service charge budgets, monitor expenditure, and provide financial reports as required.
- Compliance: Ensure the building complies with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including fire safety and health and safety protocols.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to the property management team, highlighting key issues and progress on projects.
- Emergency Response: Manage and respond to emergencies promptly, coordinating with relevant teams to resolve issues.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Proven Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in residential building management, with a solid understanding of service charge budgets and leasehold management.
- Leadership Skills: Experience leading teams and managing contractors in a residential setting.
- Strong Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of building systems, maintenance, and compliance requirements.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: A proactive and resourceful approach to resolving issues efficiently.
- IT Proficiency: Competence in using property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Professional Qualifications: IRPM or ARMA qualification is desirable but not essential.
