Job Title: Compliance Officer

Overview:
An excellent opportunity has arisen with my client, a trusted, multi-award-winning global market leading manufacturer. You will have the chance to join a friendly and collaborative team based in Kent to be responsible for overseeing and managing compliance within the organisation.
You will develop and implement compliance programs, conduct audits and ensure that the company adheres to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Duties include:
- Identify and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations affecting the business globally including anti-bribery and corruption, modern slavery, ESG and sustainability, sanctions, cyber security and AI
- Ensure that all aspects of the supply chain adhere to relevant legal regulations, industry standards and internal policies
- Manage and respond to customer compliance enquiries and questionnaires
- Actively participate for the group, taking ownership of the projects and tasks assigned to the Legal & Compliance team
- Assist and support the Quality team with product compliance reviews
- Create, review and update relevant compliance policies and procedures to reflect legal and regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues
- Develop and deliver training programs for staff on compliance topics
- Perform regular audits and monitoring of compliance activities, preparing reports for management as needed
- Investigate compliance violations or concerns
- Continuously improve compliance programs
- Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management
The successful candidate will have/be:
- Proven experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field
- Strong understanding of relevant regulations
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CCEP) is desirable
- Manufacturing industry experience is desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
