Based at: Stores, Croydon
Main purpose
The Stores Supervisor main role is to work to support the Stores manager and assist
in duties at our warehouse/storage unit based in Croydon.
Main duties of the Stores Supervisor
- ? Work with the Stores Manager to make sure all assets are stored and handled in a
- professional & safe manner
- ? Ensure all clients assets are checked in and out of stores
- ? Receiving deliveries & Loading in and out of the warehouse
- ? To pick, prep and check all website orders are ready for shipment
- ? Do regular stock checks on all consumable stock
- ? Communicate with internal and external clients as well as end to end supply chain
- ? To help with the objectives and targets of our ISO certificates (Sustainability,
- Health & Safety and Information Security)
Stores
- ? Load and unloading of vehicles
- ? Plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, order assembly and dispatch of
- goods.
- ? To ensure high standards of health and safety, security and housekeeping are
- met at all times.
- ? Coordinate the use of automated and computerised systems where utilised.
- ? Liaise with Stores Manager regarding large trucks going out and coming back
- from jobs abroad, checking assets against the load list and helping to
- organise the crew
- ? Make sure safe areas are cleaned and prepared for staff to work in
- ? Make sure all staff are signed in/out of the building
- ? Check Staff are all wearing correct PPE while working in stores
- ? Alert stores manager of any health and safety issue in stores
- ? To manage external contractors when they are working in Stores
- ? Follow company policies, procedures and seek to drive continual
- improvement in sustainability performance where possible and support the
- incorporation of sustainability initiatives where possible in event-related
- planning and delivery activities
The individual should have
- ? Previous warehouse experience
- ? The warehouse uses a flexi/Bendi forklift truck and an Order Picker; training
- for both machines will be provided if required.
- ? Forklift experience is essential as most of our assets are on racking
- ? Knowledge of health & Safety / Manual Handling certification, IOSH or similar
- ? The ability to organise their time and use own initiative
- ? Good housekeeping skills
- ? Basic IT skills. Knowledge of Google office apps like Sheets, Slides, Drive and
- Docs would be an advantage.
- ? Able to drive
- ? Attention to detail
- ? First Aid trained
- ? Physically Fit as heavy lifting is involved.
- ? Able to work as part of a team
