  • This role could start as an internal sales executive role as you learn systems before going into an Area Sales role. It could be hybrid or it could start out on the road as a Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager - they will mould the role to suit you!!

This highly successful business is looking to recruit a new position within their well-regarded company. Exactly how the role will work will depend on the experience of the candidate but the role is likely to be an internal / external mix with hybrid options. The current ledger is fully formed and functioning well however a need has been identified for more account management to happen. The current account managers have reached a limit in terms of how many accounts they deal with, hence this new position. New business is obviously always welcome though and does form an integral part of the role. The company deals with many large sectors within the market but also targets niches sectors too, this company is well liked as a supplier and employer.

They need an enthusiastic person who is familiar with maximising current business relationships and is also confident in developing new ones. This position requires someone who is really confident talking to people, understanding their needs and acting on this to provide sterling service to the customer. Attention to detail is also key. There are clear rewards within this company though - the right people can progress further and genuine talent will always be respected.

They don't want an order processor!! They need a proactive, hungry sales professional ideally from the timber supplies or building supplies / builders merchants sector who will go above and beyond.. You will interact with customers over the phone, by email and face to face. Asking questions, finding about the projects the clients are working on, taking quotation enquiries, developing rapport with these people and upselling where possible. You will need to be able to think on your feet and ideally demonstrate sound product knowledge when called upon.

The other part of the role is working on the quotations, generating the quotes and following these up, turning them into orders. We are looking for a confident individual with high levels of customer service. This role requires someone who is proactive and will pick up the phone and talk to customers!

You must be able to demonstrate strong sales skills and whilst timber / sheet materials knowledge would be ideal, as a minimum you must have worked in the general merchants environment.
