Design and Technology Teacher Tameside - January start

We are specifically working with a Good secondary school in Tameside, who are working exclusively with ourselves, to join them teaching Design and Technology key stage 3 & 4 from January for 2 terms for the rest of the current academic year on a full-time basis.

You will be required to become fully immersed in the department, attend departmental meetings and be available for parents evenings as and when required. As well as deliver lessons that are both engaging and academically appropriate to stretch the students in the classes.

This is a popular school in the community. The majority of students are keen to concentrate and work hard in their lesson, and they settle down to work quickly. They move around the school quickly and orderly around the school, resulting in a calm environment which is ideal for learning.

The role will be open to newly qualified teachers (ECT) as well as teachers who have more experience, we pay from M1 to M6 (sometimes we can also pay through threshold if you have done so, depending on the role).

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

Degree educated with a good classification (2:2).
PGCE and QTS in Design and Technology. A focus on resistance material and graphic design.
Previous experience working of working with young people (which we can reference).
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however training can be provided).
Up to date prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however, training can be provided).
Up to date behaviour management & FGM training in the last year (essential, however, training can be provided).

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to process a new application.
Provide two professional children related references.
