Purchasing Procurement Manager

This is a fabulous NEW job for an experienced PURCHASING or PROCUREMENT MANAGER who is located close to the Reading area. The role involves overseeing a team of 10 people and helping with sourcing and pricing around automotive spare parts. TITLE : Procurement Manager

Salary : £50,000 + benefits

Aim of the role

This is a brand new role: To oversee the procurement process ensuring that goods are acquired efficiently and cost-effectively sourced

Duties

• Liaising with suppliers based in Europe evaluating service levels and maintaining relationships
• Negotiating contracts and ensuring suppliers meet quality and delivery standards
• Overseeing the Procurement Strategy
• Leading on RFQ and tendering process
• Ensuring compliance with regulations
• Cost Management and monitoring budgets
• Exploring cost-saving opportunities
• Doing market research and looking at price trends and competitive pricing
• Inventory Control and manage stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking
• Team Leadership: mentoring the team (10 people)
• Liaising with demand planners to forecast demand and plan purchases
• Reporting and Analytics: Creating reports that include cost savings and supplier performance

Required Skills

• Knowledge of supply chain management and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards regarding import and
• export regulations
• Team Management experience
• Certifications for CIPS ideally ( or similar ) ideally
