Role Responsibilities

  • Leading audits from planning through to completion for a diverse client portfolio
  • Preparing detailed audit plans, assessing risk, and determining areas of focus
  • Reviewing audit files and ensuring accuracy and compliance with auditing standards
  • Liaising directly with clients to manage expectations and resolve queries
  • Supervising and mentoring junior audit team members, providing guidance and feedback
  • Preparing financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP or IFRS
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery
  • Identifying opportunities to add value to clients through advisory services

Candidate Requirements

  • A professional qualification such as ACA or ACCA (or be in the final stages of qualification)
  • A minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in an audit role within an accountancy practice
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
  • Proven experience leading audits and managing client relationships
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
