As a Senior Presales Technical Consultant you'll be responsible for delivering high quality, technical solution designs that meet potential and existing client’s business requirements.

You'll have industry experience in the HR or Payroll space and strong technical experience to be able to translate business need into a detailed specification for proposed solutions. Strong customer facing pre-sales skills are a key requirement for the successful candidate.

You'll have great knowledge of cloud-based offerings and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with a transformational dynamic approach.

Working as part of the Commercial team, alongside our Service, Product and Implementation teams, you'll be instrumental in ensuring that the overall solution meet the customer requirements.

In this role your key responsibilities will include:

  • Demonstrating our cloud HCM solution and technical infrastructure to showcase the benefits and value to new and existing customers.
  • Analysing the customer infrastructure to scope and support customers with technical challenges and provide sound direction and recommendations.
  • Understanding key customer integration requirements and being able to discuss these as a trusted advisor in customer meetings.
  • Delivering detailed workshops and collecting due diligence data to ensure the customer is fully prepared to move from an On Premise to a Cloud model.
  • Providing our Services team with detailed information to support with accurate pricing of the solution and advising on the end-to-end solution as required.
  • Preparing collateral in accordance with the demonstration requirements, liaising with the Sales or Account Manager in the preparation.
  • Supporting the Solutions Consultants with the technical aspects of our Zellis HCM Cloud solution and providing guidance on how to overcome potential issues using standard functionality.
  • Engaging with Product Development to stay abreast of product releases and changes and to be an active contributor on customer feedback to shape the product road map.
  • Maintaining a broad knowledge of HCM tools and solutions, technology developments and delivery methods.
  • Maintaining product knowledge, by taking new product releases and learning new functionality.
  • Providing expert knowledge of the solution to the Sales department.

Assignments will vary in size and duration and may involve working as part of a team delivering a contractual solution, providing expert client-side consultancy, mentoring, design authority project delivery or acting as a "trusted advisor" and / or "subject matter expert" to clients and internal teams alike. Your relationships will run from senior management level through to project development and support teams.

Skills & experience

  • A strong technical / pre-sales background in HR & Payroll solutions.
  • Incredibly strong customer facing presentation skills.
  • Commercial acumen - e.g. used to working to support sales and discussing business outcomes and value from a technical perspective with prospects and customers.
  • A self-starter who is highly motivated to see all tasks through to successful conclusion.
  • Strong understanding of API and integration technologies.
  • The ability to document high level architectural designs outlining the overall solution to be delivered.
  • An understanding of DB and reporting languages including SQL, Oracle and / or Business Objects.
  • The ability to see the bigger picture when working with customers to provide a compelling solution which solves the customer's business problems.
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure.
  • Understanding of adjacent solutions to HR & Payroll would be advantageous including WFM, Benefits / Reward, Recruitment and ERP.
