A forward-thinking law firm is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to oversee and implement robust risk management practices. You will ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, including those set out by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), while driving the firm’s compliance strategy.
Role Requirements:
- Regulatory Oversight: Stay updated on SRA regulations, GDPR and AML standards while managing risk processes and maintaining records of breaches, claims and complaints
- Policy & Training Management: Regularly review policies, deliver compliance training and conduct audits to ensure adherence to standards
- Certification & Panel Management: Support certification renewals, manage panel memberships and circulate compliance updates to enhance staff awareness
Skills:
- Strong legal knowledge, attention to detail, organisational abilities and IT proficiency for effective compliance management
- Proactive, approachable and confident, fostering trust while staying updated on legal developments and best practices
Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified solicitor preferred but not essential
- Proven experience in a similar compliance role is mandatory
- Experience with the SRA or a regulatory body is advantageous
