Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation of AV Equipment: Install and configure a wide range of AV technology including:
    • Video Conferencing Systems: Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Cisco Webex, Polycom, and other conferencing solutions.
    • Displays: Large format screens, LED/LCD monitors, interactive touch screens, and projectors.
    • Audio Systems: Microphones (ceiling, desk, and lapel), speakers, soundbars, and audio processing equipment.
    • Cabling and Infrastructure: Structured cabling for audio and video feeds, HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA, and networking cables.
    • Signal Management: AV matrix switches, scalers, extenders, and distribution amplifiers.
    • Control Systems: Crestron, Extron, AMX, and other control systems for managing AV setups in meeting rooms.
    • Mounting & Brackets: Installing wall mounts for screens and projectors, speaker mounting, and cable management.
  • System Testing and Calibration: After installation, ensure systems are properly tested, calibrated, and fully operational.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any installation or technical issues with AV equipment quickly and efficiently.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with site managers and other tradespeople to ensure all AV systems integrate seamlessly with the overall project design.
  • Compliance: Ensure all installations are compliant with safety standards and relevant building regulations.

Requirements:

  • ECS Card (Essential).
  • Proven experience installing a wide range of AV equipment within corporate or commercial environments.
  • Strong technical understanding of AV systems, including video conferencing, audio systems, displays, control systems, and signal management.
  • Familiarity with industry-leading AV brands (e.g., Crestron, Extron, Cisco, Poly, Bose, Yamaha, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret AV system schematics, wiring diagrams, and project blueprints.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software-related AV issues.
  • Experience with both installation and configuration of AV systems in corporate settings such as meeting rooms, conference halls, and collaborative spaces.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
