My client, a successful Multidisciplinary Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy is seeking a talented Chartered Structural Engineer to join their team in Leicester. My client is a reputable engineering consultancy specialising in delivering high-quality structural design solutions. With a strong focus on technical excellence and innovative approaches, they cater to a diverse range of projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial developments.
Key Responsibilities for this Chartered Structural Engineer include:
- Undertake structural analysis, design, and detailing across a range of projects, with a focus on masonry, groundworks, and temporary works.
- Produce high-quality design calculations, drawings, and reports.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver efficient and cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Supervise junior engineers and technicians, providing guidance and mentorship.
- Conduct site inspections and liaise with construction teams to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Prepare technical documentation for regulatory and planning submissions.
- Stay updated on relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
Requirements
It is essential for the Chartered Structural Engineer to have a professional and commercial viewpoint through having the following:
- Chartered status with ICE or IStructE (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience in structural engineering.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design, particularly in masonry, groundworks, and temporary works.
- Strong knowledge of UK building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Experience using structural design software (e.g., Tekla, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage projects and deliver results within deadlines.
