Are you a recent graduate looking for an opportunity to gain valuable experience in education or mental health? This role is perfect for individuals aiming to build their careers in Psychology, Teaching, or Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Academics LTD is working with a specialist school in Maidenhead that provides exceptional care and support for children aged 5 to 18 with additional needs, including Autism and complex behavioral challenges. They are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Autism Specialist to join their team.

Applicants with a background in Psychology or experience working with SEN children are strongly encouraged to apply. However, prior experience isn't essential-enthusiasm, resilience, and a genuine passion for working with young people are most important.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with Autism, sensory processing needs, and communication difficulties.
• Help children develop emotional regulation and social skills.
• Collaborate with experienced practitioners, therapists, and psychologists.
• Build a nurturing, inclusive learning environment.
• Remain calm and adaptable in challenging situations.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to work closely with professionals in the SEN field, gaining firs-thand experience in behavioural management and tailored support strategies.

Role Details:

• Position: Autism Practitioner
• Location: Maidenhead
• Start Date: Immediate
• Pay: £83 - £95 per day (depending on experience, training, and qualifications)
• Contract: Long-term, with potential for a permanent role
• Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (8:30 am - 3:30 pm)
• Experience: Preferred but not essential
