Mechanical Estimator

Our client specializes in delivering Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health projects, including energy centres, infrastructure, and fit-out work across the residential, commercial, retail, leisure, and hotel sectors.

Location: Loughton (Hybrid working available)

Salary: £46,000 - £70,000 + Bonus Scheme

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead mechanical/electrical estimates for projects valued at £5m-£35m.
• Build client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Prepare detailed, accurate estimates using estimating software.
• Collaborate with supply chain, Buying, and Operations teams during tender and planning stages.
• Assess technical and commercial aspects of quotations and proposals.
• Contribute to cost-effective design development and procurement strategies.
• Ensure compliance with risk and governance processes.

Requirements:

• Strong mechanical/Electrical bias with a track record in large-scale project estimating.
• Proficiency in preparing detailed and analytical cost models.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Will hold a formal qualification related to Electrical Engineering or Electrical Estimating discipline or equivalent.
• Experience using estimating software.
