We’re looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic team and play a key role in supporting our Accounts department. Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you’ll assist the Accounts team with day-to-day processes, including sales and purchase ledger management, account reconciliation, and expense claims using SAGE accounting software. Your responsibilities will include:
Verifying purchase invoices for accuracy, ensuring alignment with orders and goods received.
Posting purchase invoices to the SAGE system and resolving discrepancies with suppliers or order originators.
Reconciling and checking monthly expense claims, ensuring VAT compliance and receipt accuracy.
Reconciling and monitoring visa card payments, chasing receipts and invoices for VAT purposes.
Monitoring budgets, identifying and reporting significant over or underspend.
Supporting the Finance Manager with chasing overdue sales invoices.
Assisting with monthly payroll preparation and maintaining organised records.
Managing administrative finance tasks, such as completing credit account application forms and filing.
Generating financial reports using SAGE Accounting Software.
Assisting with the annual audit process.
Skills & Qualifications:
Proficiency with SAGE Accounting Software is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
