Are you a passionate and experienced Teacher ready to take the next step in your career? We are working alongside a vibrant secondary school in Portsmouth who are seeking a Head of Computer Science to lead their department, starting from January 2025.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership to the department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
• Develop and implement an engaging and forward-thinking Computer Science curriculum.
• Monitor student performance, implementing strategies to raise achievement and promote progress.
• Support, mentor, and lead a team of dedicated teaching staff.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and creativity.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align department goals with whole-school priorities.

Requirements:

• Leadership experience in an educational setting, such as Head of Department etc.
• A strong academic background in Computer Science, with a proven track record of successful teaching across Key Stages 3-5.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• A commitment to innovation and continuous improvement in education.
• Must be available for January 2025!
