Job Description

We are recruiting for Front End Developer’s to join our Engineering team! As one of our Developers you will support the design and continuous improvement of new and existing technical products and services. You will play a key part in building our technical landscape for now and for the future to help us become a world class digital insurer.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Design and construct frontend customer journeys using the latest versions of React, Typescript and Material UI.
  • Become an integral member of a high-performing Agile team, contributing to the shaping and development of esure's future.
  • Collaborate within a team to set the technical direction for supported products.
  • Establish a robust automated test suite for seamless integration into a continuous deployment environment.
  • Actively drive the enterprise Agile and transformation journey.
  • Identify and address areas for technical product improvement and tackle opportunities for reducing technical debt.
  • Challenge existing processes to improve departmental efficiency and ways of working.
Qualifications

We'd Love You to Bring:

  • At least 2 years experience building frontend applications in React.
  • Proficient in core frontend development with Javascript, Typescript, HTML/CSS, JSX, NPM, React State Management libraries (we use MobX).
  • Experience deploying frontend applications into AWS and utilising services such as Cloudfront and S3 is a bonus.
  • Experience with network technologies such as Cloudflare and NginX is a advantageous
  • Knowledge and practice of code quality techniques like continuous integration, unit testing, and peer reviews.
  • Effective communication of technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Contributed to technical projects within multi-functional teams.
  • Rapid research and adaptation to new programming tools and techniques.
  • Experience in building and scaling high-traffic websites or critically important line-of-business systems.
  • Automated integration and acceptance testing experience.
