English Teacher

Role: English teacher 

Location: Cheshunt 

Start Date: January 2025 

Salary: £32,000 - £45,000

We are currently working with a fantastic secondary school based around the Cheshunt area, supporting them recruit a full time English teacher to start from January 2025. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that are engaging and accessible, promoting academic achievement and personal growth.

• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure each student reaches their potential.

• Develop and implement innovative teaching methods, adapting lessons to meet the needs of individual students.

• Prepare students for GCSE examinations, with a focus on both subject mastery and exam readiness.

• Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive curriculum and contribute to the ongoing development of the English department.

• Participate actively in school-wide initiatives and extracurricular activities, fostering a positive and inclusive school culture.

About You:

The successful candidate will be a dedicated and passionate English teacher with the following qualifications and attributes:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in English or a related field.

• Proven experience in teaching English at the secondary level, preferably with experience in preparing students for GCSEs.

• Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and a commitment to maintaining high educational standards.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.

• A team player who is eager to contribute to the department and the wider school community.

• Commitment to ongoing professional development and a reflective approach to teaching practice.
