We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Humanities Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic and supportive school community in Hillingdon. As a Humanities Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the humanities curriculum across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Working closely with the classroom teacher, you will provide both 1:1 and small group support to help students succeed in subjects such as History, Geography, and Religious Studies. Your work will help students develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of the world around them.

• Assist in planning and delivering engaging humanities lessons under the guidance of the classroom teacher.
• Provide tailored support to students with a range of abilities and learning needs.
• Support students in developing their written and verbal communication skills in the context of humanities subjects.
• Help set up resources and support classroom activities, ensuring a positive learning environment.
• Encourage student participation in extracurricular activities related to humanities, such as field trips and history clubs.
• Support the classroom teacher in assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.

• Experience in working with children or young people, ideally in a school or educational setting.
• A solid understanding of humanities subjects (History, Geography, Religious Studies, etc.) and their importance in students' broader education.
• A proactive approach to supporting students' learning and development.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• A willingness to learn and develop your skills as a teaching assistant.

• A background in humanities education or qualifications in related subjects (e.g., GCSE, A-Level, or Degree).
• Experience supporting students with additional learning needs or in small group settings.
• Knowledge of current teaching practices and educational strategies in the humanities.
