Job Description:

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students on a one-to-one basis. You will work closely with our very vulnerable pupils, including those who suffer from PTSD, Anxiety, EBD, and SEMH. Your primary responsibilities will include:

· Providing one-to-one support to students, both inside and outside the classroom.

· Developing and implementing individualized support plans to address the specific needs of each student.

· Assisting with behaviour management and de-escalation techniques.

· Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

· Monitoring and documenting student progress and behaviour.

· Offering emotional support and guidance to students as they navigate their academic and personal challenges.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

· Relevant experience working with students who have SEMH, PTSD, Anxiety, or EBD.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Patience, empathy, and a compassionate nature.

· The ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

· A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

· A genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable students.
