Role Overview:
As a Resource Manager, you will play a crucial role in the Insurance and/or Commercial Groups, reporting directly to the Senior Resource Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the daily deployment of lawyers, balancing business objectives with individual career aspirations. You will work closely with partners, associates, and other stakeholders to ensure effective resource allocation and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work Allocation: Develop a deep understanding of departmental needs, engage with partners and associates, and ensure fair and consistent work distribution.
- Productivity Management: Monitor chargeable hours, support individuals in improving productivity, and manage non-billable commitments.
- Continuous Improvement: Strive for innovation, collaborate with other functions, and develop efficient systems and processes.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships, provide balanced resource management advice, and support recruitment efforts.

Skills and Experience Required:

- Significant experience in resource management, work allocation, or planning within a professional or corporate environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
- Commercially minded with strong risk management and business acumen.
- Proficiency in data analysis and resource management software, with familiarity with the BigHand Resource Management Tool being an advantage.
- A proactive, positive, and assertive approach, with the ability to manage tight deadlines and balance competing demands.
