The Role:

As the Warehouse Team Leader, you will:

  • Lead and Motivate: Supervise a team of four, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
  • Champion Technology: Oversee the final stages of implementing the barcode scanning project using TransLution software, ensuring seamless integration and team adoption.
  • Optimise Operations: Plan and deliver efficient workflows for sewing, assembly, pick-pack, and dispatch activities, ensuring customer ship dates are maintained with a Ship Conformance rate above 98%.
  • Drive Efficiency: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and support the company's growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and manage warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, maintain accurate records, and implement control processes to prevent discrepancies.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all incoming and outgoing goods meet required standards through robust quality control procedures.
  • Vendor Coordination: Communicate with vendors and clients to schedule consignments, manage order discrepancies, and handle returns or exchanges.
  • Safety and Compliance: Assess operational risks, create and maintain safety protocols, conduct regular safety training, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Continual Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in warehouse processes, implement best practices, and optimise workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience: 3+ years in warehouse management or a related supervisory role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle WMS), inventory tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Ability to create spreadsheets, generate reports, and manage data effectively. Familiarity with shipping/receiving software and barcode scanners is essential.
  • Leadership Abilities: Proven experience in team supervision, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Adaptability: Ability to lead and motivate a team through technological changes and process improvements.
  • Qualifications: Certified to operate Counter Balance Fork Lift Trucks; understanding of general project management processes is a plus.
