As an Accounts Assistant, you’ll play an essential role in ensuring smooth financial operations. You will take ownership of both purchase ledger and sales ledger responsibilities, gaining valuable exposure within the transactional finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing purchase nvoices and credit notes with precision
- Reconciling supplier statements to ensure accuracy
- Resolving supplier queries promptly and professionally
- Assisting with payment runs and maintaining excellent supplier relationships
- Raising and issuing invoices to clients
- Monitoring outstanding payments and following up to ensure timely receipt
- Reconciling customer accounts and addressing discrepancies
- Supporting credit control and producing regular aged debtor reports
- Additional support with month-end tasks, including account reconciliations and reporting
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Previous experience in a similar accounts role
- A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to work
- Strong communication skills for liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal teams
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn
