**Job Title:** Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant

### Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team in Guildord. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support the learning and development of children aged 5-7 in a vibrant classroom environment. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education and committed to helping young learners thrive.
### Key Responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons for Key Stage 1 students.
- Support the learning and personal development of students, providing one-on-one and small group assistance as needed.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages students to participate and engage in their learning.
- Help with the organization of classroom activities and resources to create a stimulating learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to encourage improvement.
- Support students with their social, emotional, and behavioral development, helping them to build confidence and independence.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff members to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting students’ needs.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy classroom environment in line with school policies and procedures.
### Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
- A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent) is desirable.
- Strong understanding of child development and the primary education curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children and adults.
- A patient, caring, and enthusiastic attitude toward supporting young learners.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and take initiative when necessary.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
