About the Role
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents.
- Support the senior surveyors in managing costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct on-site measurements and evaluations, working closely with project managers and contractors.
- Assist in the preparation of interim valuations and final accounts.
- Help manage project variations and provide accurate cost forecasts.
- Monitor project budgets and assist in cost control measures.
- Assist in the procurement of subcontractors, materials, and equipment.
- Prepare reports on project progress, cost analysis, and contract performance.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
About the Candidate
- Some experience or internship in quantity surveying or a related role is desirable.
- Strong numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective team collaboration.
- Basic knowledge of construction methods and contract administration.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Proficiency in using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) and construction software (e.g., Bluebeam or similar).
