Senior Accountant

Reed practice are proud to be representing a firm of established chartered accountants who have been in operation in Thatcham for over 40 years! They are seeking to add a senior accountant to their welcoming team!

Essential duties include:

• Preparation of year-end financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Preparation and input of period end adjustments for management accounts for the above business entities
• Solid understanding of control accounts and production of accounts and disclosures under FRS 102, some under FRS 105
• Good understanding of VAT, CIS, PAYE, CT, Self-Assessment taxes
• Preparation and filing of VAT returns for clients under MTD
• Bookkeeping including accurate input, agreeing reconciliations and balancing control accounts
• Ability to interpret and use the output from client’s accounting systems
• Experience with accounting software packages. Use of various cloud-based packages e.g. Sage, Xero, Kashflow.
• Experience with practice software for year-end accounts production and taxation.

Candidates must have strong experience working in a professional accountancy practice to be considered for this role.
