Our client, a market leader in their sector is looking to recruit a legal compliance officer for their busy team in Walsall. This is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your skills and knowledge to their full potential.

The role is to support other officers in the business, ensuring the regulatory obligations and responsibilities of the business are met.

To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Compliance Officer in a legal setting.
  • In-depth understanding of SRA Standards, Regulations, and Anti-Money Laundering requirements.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Skilled in both independent work and team collaboration.
  • Adaptable team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in IT and technology tools.

Within this position, you’ll also be:

  • Conducting regular compliance assessments and audits.
  • Updating, reviewing, and improving the firm’s compliance and risk policies and procedures.
  • Assisting compliance officers to ensure comprehensive firm-wide compliance.
  • Offering compliance training and guidance to all employees on anti-money laundering (AML) practices.
  • Providing support to the Finance Department to maintain adherence to AML requirements.
  • Handling daily compliance inquiries during client onboarding and addressing AML-related questions.
  • Collaborating with other compliance based officers to investigate and resolve any compliance breaches.
  • Maintaining knowledge of regulatory changes affecting the legal industry.
  • Communicating with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and other regulatory entities as required.
  • Always acting in the firm’s best interests.

Office based

25 days holidays plus banks
