Part-Time Teaching Assistant for Mixed Year 1/2 Class

Location: Primary School, Sheffield
Start Date: 6th January School
Contract Duration: Until July 2025
Working Days: Wednesday to Friday (Part-Time)
Salary: M3 - M6

Our friendly and welcoming primary school is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support our mixed Year 1/2 class. This part-time role involves a job share with an established teacher and will run from 6th January until July 2025.

Key Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Experience teaching Key Stage 1 (KS1) is mandatory.
• The position is best suited for a teacher with prior experience, as it is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with the co-teacher and contribute positively to the school environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons tailored to the mixed Year 1/2 class.
• Support the learning and development of pupils through one-on-one and group activities.
• Foster a nurturing, supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student growth and participation.
• Work closely with the teaching team to ensure a seamless and collaborative learning experience.
