Early Years Teaching Assistant / EYFS Preschool Assistant - SN2

My client is seeking a caring and motivated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their highly rated Early Years provision, where your creative ideas and enthusiasm can make a meaningful impact on the lives of young learners. This role is available on a part-time basis, on a fixed-term contract until the end of the academic year.

  • Hours: 8:30 am - 1:00 pm, Monday to Friday (22.5 hours/week), term-time only.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Engage children in activities that meet their emotional, physical, and learning needs, including those with special needs.
  • Support and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs), helping each child meet their personal learning goals.
  • Create a nurturing environment that encourages children to take an interest in their own learning.
  • Assist in organizing a productive learning environment with ample materials and resources.
  • Collaborate with teachers on planning and implementing learning activities that support the curriculum, including literacy and numeracy.

About You

  • Be able to do the job as described.
  • Hold a relevant Level 2 qualification meeting EYFS staff-child ratio requirements.
  • Bring innovative, imaginative ideas that engage young minds.
  • Demonstrate strong relationship-building skills with children, fostering a love for learning.
  • Show enthusiasm for creating a safe, joyful, and supportive learning space.
