We are partnered with an aviation company who are looking for a Delivery Obligation Manager to join their London team. In this role the successful candidate will be responsible improving processes related to DO (Delivery Obligations) and Ex Ante, developing strong relationships with program leadership, and supporting project teams in meeting performance expectations.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end Delivery Obligations and Ex Ante for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with G3 plans and setting the right level of output, quality, and schedule for DOs.
- Provide stakeholder management and leadership for DOs and Ex Ante, fostering strong relationships across programs and PMO.
- Collaborate with Programme Control Managers to anticipate project needs and ensure readiness for setting Delivery Obligations at gateway milestones.
- Develop outline DOs in partnership with project managers, guiding them through internal and external governance at key decision points.
- Support project maturity assessments as projects move toward investment decisions, with a focus on cost, schedule, and validation of assumptions.
- Lead the finalization and approval of DOs at G3, participate in internal and external stakeholder groups for DO endorsement.
- Analyse and report on DO performance, providing critical insights to the program leadership team.
- Manage external change control processes to mitigate risks to DO delivery and oversee DO closedown at G5 (Build complete).
- Finalise Ex Ante calculations at G7 for all projects within assigned programs.
You will need:
- Degree or equivalent academic qualification in a relevant field.
- Professional qualifications or commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Extensive experience in project management and/or PMO, particularly in development, design, construction, business management, or transformational change.
- High numerical and analytical capability.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with teams and external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and management skills, with effective prioritization and delegation abilities.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and analytical skills, with a track record of creating innovative and practical solutions.
