Salary: Up to £16 per hour

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Service Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To work on installation, planned preventative maintenance and repairs on wide range of plant and machinery.
• To respond to emergency maintenance and reactive maintenance as requested.
• To prioritise work requests and carry them out efficiently.
• To operate Emergency Cover as required (1 week in 4 during Harvest Season).
• Able to read mechanical drawings and translate to the work being undertaken.
• Able to work alone and/or as part of a small team.
• To take ownership and responsibility for tasks presented, and work in a manner that helps to ensure the success of the business.
• Keep up to date with administration requirements as required (Job Record Sheets, Dynamic Risk Assessments, timesheets, vehicle checklists, machinery checklists, etc).
• Communicate with the Supervisor, Manager, Project Engineer, Customer as required to provide regular updates on progress and issues.
• Assist with other duties as requested.
• Assist with overtime if required, as requested.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience of servicing and installation of mechanical plant and machinery.
• Analytical problem solver.
• Communication skills and customer facing experience.
• Timekeeping, housekeeping and administration.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
