This role is essential to the school's smooth operation, overseeing financial management, administration, and resource planning to support a safe and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management: Lead on budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Manage income and expenditure to ensure efficient use of resources and fiscal responsibility.

Human Resources Support: Work closely with the senior leadership team on HR processes, including recruitment support, onboarding, and staff wellbeing initiatives.

Facilities & Premises Management: Oversee the maintenance and development of school facilities, ensuring a safe, accessible, and inspiring learning environment for all students and staff.

Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, leading on risk assessments, safeguarding procedures, and staff training.

Procurement & Resource Allocation: Manage vendor contracts, negotiate competitive rates, and ensure best value procurement to optimize resources for the school community.

Administration and Compliance: Oversee all administrative functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining efficient systems for record-keeping and reporting.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Experience: A proven track record in business management, preferably within an educational or public sector setting.

Qualifications: Degree or equivalent qualification in business administration, finance, or a related field. Ideally, the candidate will ideally hold a Level 4 School Business Manager (SBM) qualification. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIPFA, ILM) are also a plus.

Skills: Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and strong communication skills.
